Whether you are a cinema student, a new face or an
experienced director, act directing and working with actors is never an easy
task. Where to find the cast? How to persuade them with your low budget? How to
communicate to them the way they should act in a particular scene? How to work
with baby, amateur and experienced actors? All of these questions will be
discussed and answered in the fourth meeting of the Film Community.
At 2p.m. on Sunday 17th January 2010, TPDCenter will organize a program on ‘Bring
Vietnam’s cinema to the audience’ with
the screening of the film Little Heart.

Hanoi Agenda: 2 p.m.: film screening Little Heart
About Little Heart
Mai (Lan Ha) leaves her poor hometown for a new job in Saigon with full of expectation and
dream of a happy ending with her lover at home. Yet, the city turns its dirty,
scary and disgusting face on the young girl. At the end of the day, she has no
choice but to come back home empty-handed. As her body is tired, her mind is
crazed; she has nothing left but “a pure little heart”.
Film buff often spend time discussing about movies with each other. Some write
down their comments, review and send to newspapers or magazines. Are those
comments considered “movie reviews”, or the term should only be applied to
professionals’ deep analyses of their aesthetic values? How do those writings
affect movie viewers? How do they benefit the distribution and production of
the movie? What are the strengths and weaknesses of writing movie reviews in Vietnam?
To have a
better understanding about this subject, let’s listen to opinions from movie
journalists and authors of many impressive movie reviews recently. Audience
also has chance to raise their voices in the Movie Roundtable themed “Film
Critic”. There will also be the film screening of Dep tung centimet (2008).
