Introduction about Danny Boyle
The British director Danny
Boyle was a hero in the Oscar 2009 when his Slumdog
Millionaire (2008) won 8 Academy Awards, which is an extraordinary
achievement to any director. Born in 1956 in Manchester, Danny
Boyle started his career as a director in 1987. Highly praised or strongly
criticized, each movie of Danny is a new experience to his audience, making
Danny a innovative director and never said to be affected by any particular
style.

organize the screening of 3 short films made by young filmmakers.
Especialy, in this Screeing,
TPD’ll present a shortfilm which was made by Kenn Crew filmmakers group. This is
the second time we have screened a films made by a crew ofindependent filmmakers.
At 2p.m. on Saturday 7th March 2009 TPD Center will organize a program on
‘Bring Vietnam’s cinema to the audience’ with the screening of the film Chop mat cung so phan and the discussion
with director Le Ngoc Linh, actor Cong Dung afterwards.

was established under the Decision 236/HĐA signed by Mr.
Tran Luân Kim, Secretary General of Vietnam Cinema Association on 15 August
2002, with the purposes to design and implement programs to assist and develop movie
talents and other activities for the development of Vietnam cinema.
