How to write a script for a short-film? For freshmen at
cinema schools or amateur filmmakers, short films provide them opportunities to
be creative, freely develop their ideas and gain more experience.
In our quick course on scriptwriting for short films,
students will learn about short film, its concept and structure. They will know
how to brainstorm for a short film as well as various scriptwriting
methods.
One works in
film release department in a film studio, one is a journalist with years of
experience in Cinema, one is theater manager, will meet together in the Cinema Roundtable : Film releasing in Vietnam.
Our guests
will share their opinions about releasing domestic as well as international
films in Vietnam. The procedure for releasing films as well as difficulties of
Vietnamese producers in this matter will also be discussed. In addition, the
program includes the screening of the movie “Death at midnight”, produced in 2008.
On Saturday 18th October 2008 TPD will organize a
film screening Crying Fist and a
topical discussion on director Ryoo Seung-wan.

Introduction about Ryoo Seung-wan:
Ryoo Seung-wan, whose idol was Jakie Chan, had himself a very impressive
appearance on the film scene with an independent action film named Die Bad, which was considered by
film-makers to be the biggest event in Korean cinema in 2000.

Short films are considered first-hand experience of young
filmmakers as they equip young filmmakers with the fundamental practice to
further their professional development. On Saturday 4th October TPD Center will
organize the screening of 4 short films made by young filmmakers.
