Screening of Thoi Xa Vang

TPD Center will organize a program on ‘Bring Vietnamese Cinema to the Audience’ at 2 p.m., Saturday, November 6th 2010. There will be the screening of the movie Thoi xa vang by overseas Vietnamese director Ho Quang Minh and Discussion with guest speakers, Ngo The Quan and Nguyen Thi Huyen Miss Vietnam 2004.

7th program on Filmmakers Community

The three terms ‘director’, ‘actor’, ‘cinematographer’ are too familiar with us; however, it is a ‘producer’ that plays the most important role in a film crew. A producer is a person who follows a film from its very first days to when it is released. A producer is a decisive factor to the completion of a film.

‘Producer’ is still a new concept in Vietnam and has not yet been invested properly. What role(s) do producers have in a film crew? What tasks do they have to do? How many producers in a film screw? And how are the relations between producers and the rest of the film crew? All these questions will be answered in the 7th program on Filmmakers Community.
