Center for Assistance and Development of Movie Talents (TPD Center) organizing a screening of documentaries made by students of the pilot ‘WE ARE THE FILMMAKERS’ project.

Since January 2008 the experimental phase of the WE ARE THE FILMMAKERS project has been launched in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh city. Three classes have been organized to serve the purpose of equipping junior high and high school students with basic skills as well as fundamental knowledge on filmmaking. The program focuses on encouraging students to promote their filmmaking competence.

Up to now students of the three classes, with the help from the instructors, have made 18 documentaries of different scenarios reflecting various life aspects such as the beginning moment of a school day, the basement of an apartment, or the whole-hearted parents in a neighborhood, etc. The chosen topics are familiar with the students and particularly viewed through their own ingenuous eyes. No matter how long the documentaries are, they have proven themselves to be a good chance for students to learn and discover their abilities and competence.
