Introduction about director Alejandro Gonzáles Inárritu

Born in 1963, Alejandro Gonzáles has proved to be a genius in a number of fields: DJ, film producer, film director and even original soundtrack composer.

The movie Amores Perros first brought international fame and success to Alejandro Gonzáles in 2002. Although only 2 distinguished movies (21 grams, Babel) have been made so far,

the talent of Alejandro Gonzáles has been recognized internationally and has made him one of the most triumphant Mexican filmmakers in Hollywood (along with Alfonso Cuaron, Guilermo del Torro, etc.)

Introduction about Amores Perros (2000)

Three separated stories about the same accident. Three different stories about different lives, yet they all touch upon the loss and hurt which sometimes might come in the name of ‘love’ that men have to face in life. With a scrupulous script by script-writer Gillermo Arriaga, and the true-to-life filmmaking style of Alejandro Gonzáles Inarritu, Amores Perros was an accomplishment that helped Inárritu get his first Oscar nomination for best director.

The topical discussion and screening is free-entranced and non-profit.
