Screening of the movie 'Pao's story'

Dear members of Cinema Space and movie lovers,

On Saturday 23^rd August 2008 TPD Center will organize a program on 'Bring Vietnam's cinema to the audience' at 2.00 p.m. The program includes a screening of the movie 'Pao's story' and a discussion with director Ngo Quang Hai.

Time: 2.00 p.m. 23^rd August 2008

Venue: TPD Center, 22A Hai Ba Trung street, Hanoi

Content:

- 2.00 p.m.: screening of 'Pao's story'

- 3.45 p.m.: discussion with director Ngo Quang Hai

Introduction about 'Pao's story':

Pao, a Mong (minority ethnic group) girl tells the story about herself and her family.

Pao's mother had to share her husband with another woman as she was infertile. When the 2^nd wife left, she worked hard to bring up the two children of her husband. As she realized that no matter how much she had sacrificed, her life was still in great depression. Finally she decided to find her own happiness.

Prizes:

· 2005 Golden Kite prize for Best celluloid film

· Golden Kite for best actress in a leading role

· Golden Kite for best actress in a supporting role

· Golden Kite for best director of photography

The program is free-entranced, non-profit, and supported by Hubert Bals Fund (HBF) – Rotterdam.
