Fund raising and Implement of Documentary Project – Long Bien Bridge.

Steen Møller Rasmussenm  (film-maker), Cai Ulrich v. Platen (painter) and Peter Schultz Jørgensen (architecture and planning expert) joined in the short documentary film  project on Hanoi’s Long Bien Bridge in 2006. They were seeking for financial supports  and finally got sponsored by some cultural organizations, including Cultural Development and Exchange Fund.

The documentary was finished in 2008. In late November, the crew took a visit to Vietnam for the film premiere. By combining visual arts and documentary, the film tells a interesting story about daily life at Long Bien - the 100 year-old bridge which has became a notable symbol of Hanoi and the Northern Delta of Vietnam. Along with this event, the documentary and 2 other Vietnamese  films about Long Bien Bridge with also be screened on November 30, 2008 at National Cinema Center, 89 Lang Ha, Hanoi.

In the discussion, the film makers will share their experience in raising fund and implementing independent film making projects in Vietnam.
