THE PROCESS OF THE PROJECT

July to September, 2003

- Annoucing and advertising the project to students of Cinematography Universities and Colleges and Vietnamese film makers.

- Collecting short scripts from young film makers in Vietnam.

September to October, 2003

- Selecting 12 short scripts for the projects

November, 2003

Implementing the "short film course" with the help from Ford Foundation, British Council and British National Cinematography and Theatre School.

February to June, 2004.

Shooting 10 movies in which 8 movies were made by DVCam and 2 were made by Bettacam SP.

July, 2004.

Projecting 08 short movies in this project in L'espace in Hanoi.

THE RESULT OF THE PROJECT

03 short films were rewarded in Vietnam National Short films Festival - 2004.

1. The first prize: The story of a mattress/ Video DVCam/ 17 minutes/ Director: Bui Kim Quy

2. The encouragement prize: Red happiness/ Bettacam SP/ 18 minutes/ Directors: Nguyen Thi Minh Quyen and Luong Dinh Dung.

3. The encouragement prize: The childhood train/ Video DVCam/ 21 minutes/ Director: Van Cong Vien.

Meanwhile,

Sending 05 short movies in the "10 short movies for 10 months" program - 2004 to International short movies Festival Clermont-Ferrand, France in January, 2005;

03 short movies to Film Video 2005, an International short films Festival in Montecatini - Italia in February, 2005.

And, Organizers of Short short film Festival Asia 2005 invited a presentative from TPD center to attend and 3 short movies in the former program to project in July, 2005.

Also, 05 short movies were projecting in Con-can Movie Festival (Tokyo) such as: "On the mossy countyard", "Another War", " The story of the mattress", " The shadow", " Red Happiness" and "Ephemera" Movies.
