The Screening of the Film Cua Roi

Dear members of Cinema Space.

At 2p.m. on Saturday 25th April 2009 TPD Center will organize a program on ‘Bring Vietnam’s cinema to the audience’ with the screening of the film Cua Roi and the discussion with director Vuong Duc.

Time: 2p.m. 25th April 2009

Venue: TPD Center, 22A Hai Ba Trung, Hanoi

Agenda:

- 2 p.m.: film screening Cua Roi

- 3.30 p.m.: discussion with director Vuong Duc

About Cua Roi

Graduated with honor, Thang (Duc Khue) was provided work at the institution by professor Dao. However, due to some dispute, he transferred to an university. became a lecturer and kept working on his strange Mathematics theory. Being an honest and kind guy, he helped one of his students, Thao, by lying to people that he was the father of her unborn child. His foolish kind impressed Huyen- Thao’s cousin, who yet decided to “teach him a lesson” with a sly trick

Bitter and humorous, the movie “Cua roi” raises the question of the role, the position and the behavior of the knowledgeable in society. This movie of director Vuong Duc (Feature film 1) won the “Silver Kite Award” 2002 of Vietnam Cinema Association. It was also brought to many international festival.

The program is non-profit, free-entranced.
