About the movie:
Luc, a soldier, leaves his old father and young wife for
the marching to the North. His wife, Thai, believes he was dead when she found
a dead body flowing by the village's river on a rainy night. She remarries
Quang, a kind-hearted photographer. 3 people, the wife, the husband and the
ex-father-in-law, live together in the same house.
When the South wins its independence, Luc comes back to
his hometown in a search for his comrades' bodies. Destiny brings him to
Quang's house, where he finds his wife and father. The four people are now
facing puzzle of the pass and confusion of the present.
Co lau, the first movie of director
Vuong Duc, has won Golden Torch Award.
